Libraries and writing

According a text from the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) from 2014 the Finns are those who use libraries the most from all EU citizens.

The Finnish State also supports the libraries with around 300 million euros annually.

And in 2015 the libraries in the UK were visited 265 million times.

What is the role of a library in the life of a writer?

Author Mel Sherratt is sure that her love of reading and writing stemmed from her visits to the library.

And the same is in my case. I love reading. I love jumping into new worlds and lifes and seeing the world in an other light.

By reading you can learn so many things about writing, life and everything else on earth. Or you can just submerge yourself into an other world without trying to learn anything.

Books contain endless information and worlds.

And libraries give you access to free books.

So yes, libraries have my support too.
